with Bath Activities for Kids and In Lieu of Preschool!

Not only was this tons of fun for the kids it was really easy to set up too! I took one piece of poster board purchased from the Dollar Tree and cut it to form a sail on the bath wall. I secured the sail with scotch tape. I then cut a steering wheel out of black poster board.
I laid a blue blanket on the floor to act as our water. We used the fishing rod from when we went fishing for love. It was very easy to make and full instructions are in that post. The net I found at the Dollar Tree and I made the fish out of craft foam also from there. To add a bit of learning to our fun I made the fish number fish.
Each fish had the corresponding number of magnetic numerals. I also added magnets to the fish tails. We got our magnet squares at Michaels for just a few dollars. Just be sure to buy a thicker magnet as the thinner magnets won't work.
Rosie had so much fun fishing for the numbered fish!
Each time she caught a fish we would count the numbers
Then Rosie would add them to her fishing net
We threw the fish back into the ocean for Rosie to catch over and over again!
She also loved navigating around the waters and pretending to be the captain
This was such a fun way to spend a rainy day inside! I can't wait to see what else we can transform our bath into! I have some ideas brewing.......................
